Kia has launched its first ever all electric car – the Kia E-Soul. This car marks the beginning of a new era for Kia and signals a shift in the industry towards a more sustainable, green future. The E-Soul is the company's first electric car, but it won't be the last.
The Kia E-Soul is built on the brand's cutting-edge, all-electric platform, which has been developed to offer customers an affordable, no-compromise electric car. It features a powerful 64 kWh battery pack capable of providing up to 452 kilometres of range on a single charge. It also comes with a fast-charging capability of up to 80% in just one hour.
In terms of performance, the Kia E-Soul is powered by a 200 horsepower electric motor, giving it plenty of power to easily accelerate from 0-100km/h in less than 7 seconds. It also has a range of innovative driver assistance features, including Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Keeping Assist.
To boost the appeal of the E-Soul, Kia is also offering owners an extended 8 year, 160,000 km warranty on all components related to the electric powertrain.
In terms of price, the Kia E-Soul starts at 35,990 euros in Europe and $31,995 in the USA, making it one of the most affordable electric cars on the market.
So while the E-Soul may not be the most technologically advanced electric car on the market, it does offer buyers a great way to make the switch to electric motoring at an affordable price. With its combination of user-friendly features, generous warranty and great range potential, it’s clear Kia has built an electric car that could change the way people think about electric motoring.
